FNB Gas on the future design of the productivity factor (Xgen)

FNB Gas is pleased to take advantage of the opportunity granted by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) to comment as part of the consultation on the definition of the methodology for the future sectoral productivity factor (Xgen).

In our statement, we support the position of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) and also make points that reflect the special features of natural gas grids. In view of the challenges of the energy transition, we see a considerable need to adapt the methodology proposed by the BNetzA. A cautious and future-oriented implementation of the Xgen is of central importance in the transformation phase of the energy sector.
