FNB Gas

FNB Gas e.V. is the association of the German gas transmission system operators

The association supports its members in fulfilling their legal and regulatory obligations. It also coordinates integrated network development planning for gas and hydrogen at the transport network level and actively promotes the safe, economical, environmentally friendly and climate-friendly operation of the gas transport infrastructure and its continuous further development to meet the requirements of the future energy system. Together, its members operate a pipeline network of around 40,000 km for the transportation of natural gas and are jointly building the hydrogen core network, which is around 9,000 km long.

Members

The members of FNB GAS include twelve German transmission system operators

They are responsible for the operational management, maintenance, and demand-driven expansion of the gas transport networks and the development of a hydrogen infrastructure. In total, the member companies employ around 3300 people. In addition, they are involved in further cross-network cooperations for more competition in the gas market and are driving forward the development of innovative technology.
