Recommendations for the 2025 federal election

With today’s vote of confidence in the German Bundestag, Chancellor Scholz has cleared the way for early elections on February 23, 2025. One thing is certain: the elections to the German Bundestag on February 23, 2025 will also provide an opportunity to set the course for a secure, affordable and climate-neutral energy future.

Our position paper on the Bundestag elections outlines recommendations for action for the next federal government. The success of the energy transition is also decisive for Germany as a business location and the competitiveness of German industry.

It must therefore be a priority for the next German government to create framework and investment conditions that enable a rapid ramp-up of the hydrogen economy and guarantee the high level of our supply security with an efficient gas and hydrogen infrastructure. One thing is certain: a sustainable energy supply requires clear framework conditions, courageous decisions and reliable partnerships between politics, industry and society. Now is the time for politics!
