Hydrogen core network operators to launch coordinated capacity reservation process

The operators of the German hydrogen core network have published a second market information package and will launch a coordinated process for reserving initial hydrogen core network capacities on March 19, 2026. This will create further transparency about the development of the hydrogen core network and enable market participants to secure the necessary entry and exit capacities at an early stage.

The market information package provides information on the planned development of the hydrogen core network in the form of clusters and the available capacities in the years 2026 to 2030. Companies can reserve capacities on this basis via a standardized request form with the responsible hydrogen core network operators.

With the start of the coordinated capacity reservation process, the hydrogen core network operators are providing an important impetus for the development of supply chains and the ramp-up of the European hydrogen market.
