Hydrogen ramp-up
Starting signal for the reservation of the first hydrogen capacities in the core network
The operators of the German hydrogen core grid launched the coordinated capacity reservation process today. This means that market participants can now secure initial entry and exit capacities in the core grid at an early stage.
The basis for this is the market information package published at the beginning of March, which creates transparency regarding the development of the hydrogen core network in clusters and the available capacities for the years 2026 to 2030. On this basis, companies can reserve capacities with the responsible hydrogen core network operators using a standardized request form.
With the start of the coordinated reservation process, the hydrogen core network operators are providing an important impetus for the ramp-up of the hydrogen market in Germany and Europe and supporting the establishment of reliable supply chains for hydrogen projects.
