Hydrogen infrastructure 2030
We are setting the course for hydrogen imports to Bavaria and creating a hydrogen hub in southern Bavaria. The HyPipe Bavaria – The Hydrogen Hub project lays the foundation for a hydrogen launch network in Bavaria by 2030, 95 percent of which will be realized by converting existing natural gas pipelines. With around 300 kilometers, HyPipe Bavaria – The Hydrogen Hub is an important part of the European Hydrogen Backbone and connects hydrogen demand regions with numerous potential production regions in Germany and abroad.
