FNB Gas advocates for the retention of the \u201cOther Energy Production Area\u201d (SEN-1), as it is of central importance as the first specifically designated entry point for offshore hydrogen in Germany\u2019s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). <\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n\n<p>From FNB Gas\u2019s perspective, Option 1 is preferable because it increases the attractiveness of the offshore wind areas while fully preserving SEN-1. Option 2 is only justifiable as a viable compromise if SEN-1 is retained to an extent that enables an industrially relevant hydrogen system demonstrator and preserves connectivity to the core grid and the offshore hydrogen transport infrastructure.
